In fourth-quarter 1996 Lanard introduced the Galactic Force assortment. The set, primarily available at Sam's Club (the discount club owned by Wal-Mart stores), was available as a large gift package. There were twelve figures total in the Sam's set with each of the above figures duplicated once. The figures were the six Lazer Force figures, still chromed, but repainted slightly with a "tiger-stripe" scheme. The set also included Lanard's APC vehicle. This was the first appearance of the APC vehicle design is in the U.S. It received a unique color configuration under the Galactic Force name. Finally, the set inclue three chromed motorcycles of the original design. Three-figure packs of Galactic Force appeared briefly at Ecker'd Drug Stores. Galactic Force has disappeared from store shelves within the first few months of 1997. To date, Lanard has not release further Galactic Force product.
